A very popular and immensely tasty fruit called the Sitaphal by Indians! Not eaten by many because of the laborious task of getting the pulp separated from the many seeds inside the fruit and getting your hands all messy! But to me...that is the fun part! What is eating without messing up a bit once in a while....Eating this fruit makes you feel like a kid again:-) So, if you get them around where you live, pick the ripe ones and indulge! Tastes best when eaten as a fruit or as a milkshake too!

Haven't seen this in a while! In Delhi, we call it Sharifa. Sitaphal over there is a vegetable; a big pumpkin like squash that is green in color.
